The two Asia-based entities collide for a trio of takes atop the classic GEL-1090 runner, all of which have been revamped with hiking-inspired elements.
The low-profile silhouette isn’t necessarily reshaped, but more so enhanced by the Seoul fashion label. The throat now sports an extra set of flecked laces, and hiker-esque wiring commences at the toe box, wraps over the bridge of the foot and suspends along the lateral and medial walls thanks to the metal bolts that affix to the exterior paneling. Elsewhere on these collaborative kicks, one will find the usual base layer materials that mix between breathable mesh and smoother leathers that make up the forefoot and heel overlays and the tiger stripes. In terms of branding, the customary ASICS insignias are positioned on the outer sides of the toe box, while the usual “1090” embellishments are printed across the forefoot of the midsoles. Moreover, the tongues substitute the usual ASICS symbols for the Andersson Bell moniker.
